Learn to paint gorges, cliffs and landscapes with Tim Fisher who has many years experience in pastels. All abilities welcome. The tuition is 5 days, is very hands on and will include painting at different locations. You will be in a group of approximately 12 guests. Please bring pastels and materials. Some folding chairs, boards and easels will be available for use when on site but if you have your own it is advisable to bring them.
The holiday takes place at Compton House which is a glorious grade 2 listed, Georgian Hotel complete with function room, drawing room, conservatory and a beautiful garden with lovely views across the Somerset levels.
There are many locations to paint within Cheddar Gorge which will encompass the gorge rocks, trees and flowers, quaint cottages, lakes and waterfalls. Burrington Coobe, another gorge, which includes the famous "Rock of Ages" is also an ideal spot to paint.
There is such diversity that can be painted within this holiday and Tim is the ideal tutor who will lead you through the aspects of capturing the awesomeness of the gorges and cliffs, the atmosphere of September skies and the beauty of water and landscapes generally.
