Exploring Acrylic Techniques

Explore different acrylic techniques using this versatile medium with Tim Fisher. Acrylic paint is the ideal paint for all levels of ability as it is the most versatile medium, enabling artists to work in a watercolour style on watercolour paper or to use oil painting techniques on canvas. The course will involve studio based work, although we may go out on location sketching which can be developed into full paintings in the studio. The course will offer the opportunity to paint the beautiful Somerset countryside including skies, trees, water, boats and buildings. Tim's approachable style in teaching will give you plenty of opportunity to gain from his insight and knowledge when capturing a scene and he will guide you through all the necessary techniques that will help when using acrylics. He is good both in demonstrating techniques to a group and assisting on a one to one basis where he will provide plenty of patience and encouragement.
Paint Historic Wells and the surrounding countryside in Pen and Wash with Tim Fisher who has many years experience painting. All abilities welcome. The hotel is set back from the green facing Wells Cathedral and some days we will paint in Wells including subjects such as Vicar’s close with it’s stone buildings, Bishop’s Palace with it’s moat and the medieval market. Tim will give you plenty of guidance on the techniques required to paint striking pen and wash paintings.
