This is the view we were presented with after a long trek to Sour Milk Ghyll. I was particularly inspired by the contrast of the dark rocks against the rushing water. The Painting was created by drawing the basic scene using a fibre tipped pen onto stretched 140lb Sennelier rough watercolour paper. Loose washes were then applied over the entire painting. Finally the contrasts and highlights were added with soft pastel.
