“I’ve heard of Fisher 400 paper on Scribble Talk forum. I read  excellent words about it, especially from Nicole Caulfield, that I decided to give it a try. I was so beautifully surprised with the result, I think Fisher 400 has changed completely the way I was using coloured pencils in the past.
You can blend easily, with a dry bristle brush, or with your fingers, or with a tortillion… You can get excellent hues, and colours are brilliant and alive over the paper. After my first drawing on Fisher 400 I tried to do a portrait on a standard paper. Standard paper seems to swallow colours. Also with standard paper you can’t add lighter colours over dark ones, and this is a great inconvenience when you are drawing hair, or water reflections, for example… I like to paint people and water, and these difficult tasks are much easier with Fisher 400. In some way it reminds me of the feeling of painting with oils, because you use your fingers, or brushes, and because you can add white or lighter colours over very dark ones… Erasing, correcting or tweaking are quite easy tasks. Also this paper allows lots of layers, so you can get the exact hue you want… and it is always a delight to use.”
