Tim is a leading artist and author. Born in Leicestershire, England he became a professional artist in 2000, following a successful career in research for an international US company.
The industry regarded Tim as a highly creative person, he currently holds two worldwide patents
Since the launch of his career Tim has won numerous awards for his art
He was a finalist in the Daily Mail "Not the Turner Prize" award, short listed from 12,000 entrants and had his pastel painting "Pink Hydrangeas" displayed in the Mall Gallery, London
Approaching his paintings like a researcher, Tim works with the heart of a purist and the mind of a realist. Whenever possible he collects his own reference material by observation, field sketches and photography
He loves the "language of line" and the ability to very rapidly sketch the scene Plein air. This proves very useful when sketching outdoors when the weather proves inclement. He has been known to capture a rapid sketch in the Lake District in the pouring rain from a telephone box and then retire to a local pub to add tone to the sketch
His work is displayed in public, private and corporate situations throughout the world
The oil painting "The Melton Millennium Meet" is displayed in the Carnegie Museum, Melton Mowbray and is featured with 38,00 paintings of the UK`s national collection on the Art UK website
His ability to have empathy with his students has left him in popular demand with art societies for regular demonstrations and workshops.
After over 30 years visiting art groups in the UK, 2025 will see him reduce bookings to concentrate on new painting inspirations and build up a new body of artwork.
Tim is also a regular contributor (for over 25 years) to painting articles and test reports for art materials in the Leisure Painter magazine
His paintings have several times graced the front cover of this highly popular art magazine.
Tim is proud to be one of the Editorial Consultants for the Leisure Painter magazine.
He hosts online painting zoom tutorials for Painters Online.
He is a regular demonstrator for the Artist and Leisure Painter magazines at the Annual Patchings Art, Craft & Design Festival near Calverton, Notts
